A bilingual Thai–English novel. It starts almost entirely in Thai and moves into English as Lemon does, so the reader learns from the story. It grew out of teaching English in Ubon Ratchathani and an idea from Rediscovering Oneness: we remember through relationships, so every word arrives inside a scene.

I spent 39 years in engineering. My career began in refrigeration systems, moved to aircraft refrigeration, and then to the other systems that keep an aircraft in the air. At Boeing I taught Designer Development, the program that trains designers and engineers in Boeing’s parts systems, and I designed a test parachute system for the F-22. I designed engines at Honeywell, worked on business jets for Dassault Falcon Jet and Gulfstream, spent ten years at Bombardier on the Global business jets and the clean-sheet C Series regional jet, and worked as a structural flight test engineer on the certification program for Mitsubishi’s regional jet. Later I taught English at a university in Thailand.

Aerospace engineering teaches one habit for life: nothing is trusted until it has been checked, and checked again. I took that habit to bigger questions. The physics became A Quest for The Big TOE and the Ic² Research Institute, where predictions are registered before the data arrive and every result is published. The human question became Rediscovering Oneness.
